Lynda W. and I took a nice little ride up to Pismo Beach and had a very relaxing time enjoying the sights of Monarch Grove. It is migration season til the end of February and the Euclyptus trees are full of butterflies. We walked the beaches, piers and the little town of Pismo is very charming to eat, drink & be merry in.
The ride was a little chilly, but understanding that California's cold is nothing compared to the East, I have to say it was a very pleasant for me. I love being colder than hot anyway. The summer is no time for riding for me, so this is my time of year.
Lynda and I met at the Harley Dealership in Anaheim... our usual spot to meet up. She doesn't like to get up early either, so she was a perfect riding companion. We KSU'd at 11:00a.m. and took our sweet time riding up there.
It was a different story on the way back though. Traffic and lots of it delayed us a little. Lynda and my hands were gumbified by the time we hit central L.A. and we pulled over for a bit. Then it was clear riding home from there. Otherwise it was a perfect trip and hope to do it soon again.
Here is a little slideshow of the trip. I hope you enjoy the butterflies, birds and everything else.

Would love to see that. These tiny creatures put us all to shame with the miles they cover every year.
Beautiful photos!
I used to love going to Pismo Beach when we lived in CA, one year I would LOVE to be able to ride my mc there. Great pictures, glad to hear you had a great time (except the traffic).
"Why did the boy throw a stick of butter out the window?"
Very cool snaps. They are suppose to be around here sometime very soon...if not now. I don't have the heart to ride out to see them...too many of them wind up on the front of Tramp...makes me feel evil. Thanks for the moment of serenity.
They amaze me. It would be cool to see so many. Just thing what they look like when they get to Mexico.
