Thank you very much KT for such an awesome tribute to all the men and women who served and are serving.

I love the old pics of the ladies rolling up their sleeves and getting down to it. Back then, they broke the mold and it makes me very proud to be an American woman!

As for me, I'm very proud of my service and I'm very happy that I followed in my daddy's footsteps as I did. Anchors away!

Yes thank you. We sure have here in the Flint area. My mother and several aunts all helped. We HAD a lot of GM plants and the girls as they are called here. Rolled up their sleeve's and built plane engines , tanks, machine guns and much much more. Could not have Won thw war with out them. The Sloan Museum has a section dedacated to the:-}

Those of us rebels here in Wisconsin don't use the "safety" word. It's just Motorcycle Awareness Month. We are asking motorists to be more AWARE of motorcycles. We practice SAFETY every month, not just in May.

Well said and I might add for those who need to ride fast often ride alone I fully concur with you on what you wrote as I do lane split both on my dresser and my dyna and there are times I just pull back into a lane and peddle the pavement to let the stunt riders go by (being Polite here I actually have another name for them) and venture back out when I feel safe if I am not in the safe groove I am not doing it

For a long road trip my list is long, lol. I wouldn't be able to live without my saddle bags and I do use a T-bag for long trips. My husband just rolls his eyes when I heave that T-bag on the back, lol. I'm surprised I don't pop a wheelie when I put it on the bike, lol.

I carry a compact air compressor and tire patch kit. Raingear too. Extra gloves are good. Latex gloves take up no space and can keep your hands dry even in wet leather gloves. Cell phone charger that connects to my battery tender pig tail in case I run out of juice and need to make a call.

These are great photos. I like going there. Older now so I only stay about a day or two then head out and enjoy all the state can offer. Have family and a lot of friends there. It's a grat break from the drab winters of Michigan. I don't sky or snowmobile tooooo cold at my tender age.
